Everlasting

Everything Old is new Again

Remember our yesteryears and pass them on

Memories never grow old they last forever

A pocket full of positives will always see you through tomorrow

I have so many lovely old wares handed down through our family that I adore, not just for their sentimental value to me but how the uniqueness of these beautiful items blend so wonderfully with  everything around them making them even more special .

Do you have special things from yesteryears that enhance your home or that you can’t live without my friends! Hope you share them here with me.

Yes I have several sentimental treasures that have been handed down to me....I especially love my grandmother's lace tablecloth. It was well taken care of and I still use it today on my table....

Yes Wendy,
When my dad passed away over 20 years ago and my mom three years ago, they left me with a few treasured items. One of them is a gravy boat that belonged to her mother from 1940, and every Thanksgiving we use it. There are many more, but that is just one to mention. Aren't treasures from loved ones special? Happy Wednesday to you, dear friend.

These images are just mesmerising Wendy..so lovely.
I am a huge fan of old and have a few pieces that were handed down from my nana's and I am always trawling the op shops looking for unwanted treasures :)
Actually two friends and I did a thrifting roadtrip on the weekend just gone and found some mighty fine things.

Lovely words and images, Wendy! My favorite pieces are those that have a history... a story. They add character and personality to a home.

Hi Wendy,
Thanks for visiting Cottage and Creek and following. I am delighted to follow you back. I have a few precious things ... a photo of my late husband and I when we were just 17 and my Streams In The Desert book, that has been my lifeline these past years (alongside the Bible, of course). These things are precious to me. Your blog is so beautiful. I am off to read some more.

Such beautiful, inspiring images. I wish my home had half the character and peacefulness that yours pervades.
To everything there is a season. I have toys strewn around the house, small squeals and busy chatter. :)
I have only a few items that have been passed down to me. I'm not sure that I have made them work to their best advantage yet. Time will tell.
