Mondays Memories

This week has been somewhat mixed with events and emotions, firstly holding my friends hand as she farewelled her Father in a very touching ceremony, I was so very proud of her she spoke as only she could about her  love and the memories she shared with her wonderful Dad. I was also pleased with my strength in helping her through one of the toughest days of her life; these kinds of goodbyes are never easy.

Wednesday was extremely special being my beautiful daughter’s birthday and was celebrated been pampered to the fullest. I presented her with my memento book of her past 30 years and a few other handmade gifts, which included a pair of amethyst earrings her favourite gem stone. Choni had no idea I had put the book together for her and just loved it; I was really happy how it turned out and thank you so much my friends for all your lovely comments on the pictures.
My Dad arrived on Friday to stay with us for a couple of days, when winter falls on the south coast of NSW around May of each year he packs up his Winnebago and followers the sun to far north QLD. I love hearing about his adventures the places he finds and new friend he meets along the way.  Again around October when the sun becomes too hot up north he travels back home for the summer. It’s always fun looking at all his photos, laughing with him as he tells us stories about his trip. Although I always miss him when he leaves, I ‘m happy that he is doing what he loves, is in good health and  living the life that brings him so much joy.

Sunday the LOML and I just spent the day lazing around home and went for a late coffee and a walk down the beach, although we see each other every day you can still have a week so full that you don’t really get to catch up on special alone time together without the day to day little interruptions so every chance we get we take it!

How did you spend your weekend my friends, was the sun shining at your place!

Sounds like a week of highs and lows Wendy. It's amazing the strength we find within ourselves in times of need :)
You are so right in needing to make quality time for each other, it's something my hubby and I don't do often enough.

Wow my Little Friend...what a rollercoaster of a week you have had..sadness and joyness...I was with you by heart every step of the way. It’s so great to hear that you are still spoiling your kids rotten as usual after all these years.. just love it. Having time with hubby on a one to one is awesome.
This weekend my hubby and I just packed up and went to the coast for the weekend. You should have seen the look on my sons face...Ha

Most definitely a mixed bag of emotions in those events Wendy. I think that is just so fantastic that your Dad follows the warmth and sunshine, I love the idea of doing that one day myself :o)
Time with the love of your life sounds like the perfect end to a highly emotional week. Lovely pics and lovely post Wendy xo

Know exactly what you mean when you say, alone time together Wendy. My husband and I went on a mystery flight last weekend with a couple of other friends. Had the time of our life. Krisy.
